Michael was the founding partner of Turnbull Hill Lawyers and is now a Senior Consultant to the firm.  He is still involved with some business development aspects.

He has strong ties with many financial institutions in the Hunter Region, and is widely respected for his knowledge and skill in legal, financial and management matters.

Michael has also been an advocate for both athletes and administrators for over two and half decades. He has been legal adviser to some of sport’s elite including cricketers, Mark Taylor and Ian Chappell.

Michael played Sheffield Shield cricket for New South Wales and has always retained a great love of sport.

Apart from his frequent forays into the world of sport, Michael advises a large client base on a wide variety of legal matters ranging from property transfers, to business and corporate law matters.

He was a foundation director, and previously Chairman of the Newcastle Knights. Michael is a former Board member of the NRMA.
