After attending the University of Newcastle, Evan commenced work as a lawyer with Turnbull Hill Lawyers in 2004. Evan advises clients in the areas of Commercial Debt Recovery, General Commercial and Equity Litigation (including initiating and defending court proceedings), and Corporate Insolvency and Bankruptcy (including winding up companies which are unable to pay company debts). He has been involved in major litigation concerning local health clinics in negligence and contractual actions. Evan also regularly acts for and advises liquidators, trustees and receivers in insolvency and corporate law matters. He is presently undertaking the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia program for admission into that professional body, and is completing post graduate study on advanced insolvency law through the University of Southern Queensland which he expects to complete in 2008. Evan regularly attends business functions. He was a Director of the Newcastle and Hunter Junior Business Chamber from 2005 to 2008. He is an independent arbitrator of the Black Diamond AFL, a role in which he determines tribunal appeals and assists in the judiciary process. Evan is an enthusiastic sportsman who enjoys playing cricket, football and golf. He also enjoys spending time at the beach, listening to music, and relaxing with his family and friends. Areas of Law
